The second edition of the Den Bosch International Tournament took place on the beautiful grounds of HC Den Bosch, featuring two age categories: U14 and U16 girls. The U16 tournament was held on May 18-19, while the U14 competition took place on May 19-20. A total of 16 teams participated, with 10 teams in the U14 category and 6 teams in the U16 category.
In the U14 tournament, HC Rotterdam emerged victorious after a thrilling final where they narrowly defeated BHV Push 1-0. HC Tilburg secured third place with an impressive 2-0 victory over MHC Apeldoorn.
For the U16 girls, the host team HC Den Bosch claimed the championship by winning a close final against HC Tilburg with a score of 2-1. The tournament showcased high levels of skill and competition, creating memorable experiences for all teams involved.
The wonderful atmosphere over the three days of hockey was truly inspiring. Great teams from different regions competed with good spirit, fostering a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship. The event was not just about the competition but also about enjoying the sport and building lasting friendships.
The tournament concluded on a high note with the teams getting the opportunity to watch a playoff match featuring the senior women’s team of HC Den Bosch. The home crowd was treated to a spectacular performance as HC Den Bosch dominated Kampong with a resounding 7-0 victory, securing their spot in the finals.
The Den Bosch International Tournament Hockey not only provided an excellent platform for young talents to showcase their skills but also fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participants. The event was a great success, and all teams left with unforgettable memories and valuable experiences.
