First edition Den Bosch International Tournament will take place in May 2023

Finally, its going to happen at last. The 2022 edition, unfortunately, had to be canceled as a result of ongoing COVID lockdowns globally. But now, apparently, we have found a way to deal with Covid which makes organizing a tournament exciting again. So we couldn’t be more happier! The DBIT is a multisports youth tournament. Football (bu14), Field Hockey (b/g U16), Basketball (bu18), and Rugby (U16). It’s a unique event in a unique city. The dates of the tournament are 27,28 and 29th of May in 2023. Its not a recreational tournament, it is an invitational tournament with top-level academy teams. The home playing teams in the different sports are FC Den Bosch (football), Heroes Den Bosch (basketball), The Dukes (rugby), and HC Den Bosch (field hockey).

We are very proud we have found the following “Bossche” Sport Stars to act as our ambassadors:

  • Ruud van Nistelrooij (football) “former player FC Den Bosch, PSV, Manchester United, Real Madrid and now head coach PSV Eindhoven”
  • Frederique Matla (field hockey) “European, World and Olympic Champion and player of HC Den Bosch”
  • Stefan Wessels (basketball) “former player Heroes Den Bosch, former National Team player, currently general manager Heroes Den Bosch, champion of The Netherlands”
  • Zeno Kieft (rugby) “former rugby pro, runner up French Championship, played 119 matches for top team Stade Rochelais”

In the meantime, we received confirmation from PSV Eindhoven and Manchester United to play in our football tournament. We expect more announcements soon!
